A big part of home interior decoration is your preparation and getting the surface your working on ready to work with.  When I enter a job for the first time and get the feel for the job, the first thing that sticks out at me is damage to walls and surfaces.  My pet hate in a job is seeing gaps.  Not only does it let air in, but bugs and creepy crawlys find their way into your home.  I make that room as water tight as I possibly can [if you filled it up with water you could float around in your lazy boy with your favorite beverage ]. On a serious note a well caulked or gapped up room looks very professional and gives you nice exact line and corners which also makes painting a whole lot easier. So in this segment I’m going to explain how to caulk and apply gap sealants when home interior decoration.

HOME INTERIOR DECORATION – UNDERCOATING SURFACES
The reasons for undercoating surfaces while you are conducting your home interior decoration are very simple and very important. Preparation in painting is vital, without it your job will look amateur and very ugly.  Once a surface is ready to paint and you’ve decided what it is your going to paint, a good rub down with the appropriate grade sand paper and then a good quality undercoat applied will give a nice finish. HOW TO PAINT A ROOM – THE ORDER IN WHICH THE ROOM GETS PAINTED !!
Welcome back! Today we are looking at how to paint a room in particularly what gets painted first.

1. Ceilings are first in how to paint a room.  The spots off the wet roller when rolling a ceiling end up on your woodwork, frames etc.  But fear not, you’re going to have to rub doors, frames, skirtings and the like down anyway ready for painting, so a few spots on your woodwork are not going to matter anyway! (Some people after rolling ceilings come out of the exercise looking like they’ve had a hand full of hundreds and thousands thrown at them For those of you who don’t know what they are, well, you just had to be there).
